She may be 41 but, for some of her fans, she will always be Rollergirl from the 1997 hit film “Boogie Nights.” She certainly hasn’t changed that much; now, Heather Graham says her biggest beauty secret is sleep. People magazine recently caught up with the actress and asked her what she did to keep looking so fresh-faced and young – and, apparently, it’s something that we all have access to.
Heather believes her wrinkle-free complexion is not down to good genetics and definitely not due to
expensive products of even more expensive procedures, but sleep – plenty of it.
“I try to get 11 or 12 hours of sleep a night. It sounds excessive but that’s really what I need. It does the trick,” she says for the celebrity publication.
Heather is not the first female celebrity to hail sleep as the right ingredient in the perfect recipe to fight old age. Some time ago, model Heidi Klum also said she had no wrinkles because of her nighttime habits.
“I go to bed at 8:30 most nights,” she said last year, as we also
informed you. To the extra hours of sleep to fight signs of growing old, Klum added staying out of the sun and not losing too much weight.
“The ultimate beauty secret for a woman getting older is, Don’t be too thin! It is always better to have a little meat on your bones,” the model explained.
“When you are just muscle, you end up being gaunt in the face, and that makes you look older by 5 or 10 years,” she added.
Other A-listers also believe that a good thing doesn’t necessarily come with a hefty price tag: Cheryl Cole, for instance, uses
a £2 moisturizer / face cream, E45, that has been around for decades, to prevent wrinkles and keep her skin always looking radiant and healthy.
Burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese is also the kind of girl that likes to do things by herself and not have some professional do them for her: so she states out loud that
DIY beauty tricks are the most effective and, at the same time, the most fun.
