Well, Mr. Heath-family-man Ledger just said „no" to the Australian premiere of his latest movie, Candy. The actor took part in all the promotion schemes so far, including the Berlin Film Festival showing of the movie, but he won't take participate at the Sydney premiere.

The news has further upset Australians who start to feel that the Brokeback Mountain star denies his roots and ignores his co-national fans. Truth is they have some reasons to be upset as even before reaching worldwide fame the actor was not a press-friendly guy.

And adding up the fact he has just sold his Sydney home a red carpet walk in Sydney could have done miracles for his decaying popularity among fellow Australians.

A spokesperson for Dendy films (who distribute the movie Candy) says: "We've been told he will not be attending due to commitments in the U.S. It is disappointing that Heath is not coming, but he's never wavered in his support for this film. He is committed to promoting Candy and will be conducting all press interviews for the film via satellite and the phone."

Ledger must baby sit his daughter as Michelle Williams will be away for a movie shoot and the two don't trust anyone close to their child.
