The team at the Paradox Development Studio is announcing that it is delaying Hearts of Iron IV, which was set to be launched during the second quarter of the year, and that it does not currently have an official new release window for the title.

The forum announcement from Jakob Munthe, the brand manager, explains that the game is looking very solid at the moment.

He adds, "It's a very ambitious project, and we want to give it the time it needs to become the game we, and probably many of you, envisioned. We're sorry if we've disappointed you with not being able to keep the Q2 release date (we're of course a bit disappointed too!), yet we strongly believe this course of action will lead to the best possible end result."

It seems that a new launch window for Hearts of Iron IV might be announced soon, after the developers complete a new major development milestone.

The series of developer diaries that Paradox has been offering for the grand strategy title will continue to arrive, and more info about the title will also be delivered via other channels.

Hearts of Iron IV will only be available on the PC.

The fans have reacted mostly positively to the delay announcement, saying that the studio should take the time it needs to deliver a complete and quality experience.

The grand strategy title offers a unique perspective on World War II

Hearts of Iron IV is the narrowest of the main strategy titles Paradox Development Studio has been creating.

The experience allows players to take control of any country during the World War II period, although most players tend to focus on seven or eight major powers, including the United States, Nazi Germany, Communist Russia, Japan, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

Paradox has already detailed a wide range of changes to the core elements of the franchise, including the way gamers will be able to direct their armies when they seek to take the territory of another country.

There are also new features for the politics of the game, the way technology evolves, and the design for the map.

Paradox has said that it wants to make Hearts of Iron IV faithful to history while also offering gamers freedom to make important decisions and change the course of World War II.
