New cards, new challenges, and three more bosses to slay

The Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure has opened the second out of its five chapters, allowing intrepid heroes to delve into the horrors of The Plague Quarter.

Last week, the first piece of solo adventure content for Blizzard's hugely popular collectible card game, Hearthstone, was released into the wild. Players all over the world were able to battle some of World of Warcraft's iconic bosses from the floating necropolis of Naxxramas, in the form of Anub'Rekhan, Grand Widow Faerlina, and Maexxna, the giant spider.

This week, it's time for The Plague Quarter to challenge players of the online card battling game, and to bring new cards to their collection – provided that they have what it takes to take down the new bosses.

The first boss encounter in the new content is Noth the Plaguebringer, and defeating him will award you with two copies of Stoneskin Gargoyle. The second boss, Heigan the Unclean, will net you two Unstable Ghouls.

The third and final, the master of miasma, Loatheb himself, will reward you with two Sludge Belchers upon victory, and defeating all three bosses will grant you Loatheb, a powerful legendary card.

In addition to the three new bosses, two more Class Challenges await those who are brave enough, putting players' skill to the test by tasking them with defeating bosses with a pre-constructed class-specific deck.

In order to tackle the Class Challenges, you have to first defeat all the bosses in The Plague Quarter on Normal Mode, and proving your worth will reward you with a new class-specific card for your collection.

Furthermore, those who are looking for the ultimate challenge can always try the Heroic Mode of the Plague Quarter, where they have to defeat beefed-up versions of all three bosses. This will require a custom-tailored deck, appropriate to each boss' strength and weakness, and most likely several attempts for completion.

Defeating the bosses in Heroic Mode will allow you to craft the golden version of the special cards, provided that, of course, you have the necessary dust, the resource used for creating new cards.

The cards you win for besting the challenges of The Curse of Naxxramas are exclusive to the single-player adventure, and you can't get them from buying card packs. You can, however, stumble upon them while forging a deck for the Arena, so make sure to take them into account when formulating your in-game strategy.
