Tinkmaster Overspark and Nat Pagle are getting big changes

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, the free-to-play online card game from Blizzard, is set to receive a brand new update soon that should address some problems with two distinct cards, Tinkmaster Overspark and Nat Pagle, as well as with the ranking system during each season.

Hearthstone was revealed to the world last year and was in closed beta for quite some time, as Blizzard's small team needed a lot of data from players before making any crucial changes.

Now, after transitioning into the open beta earlier this year, Blizzard has confirmed on its Battle.net forum that a new update should soon go live for Hearthstone's open beta stage.

Quite a few different things are included in the new patch, but the most important are changes made to two crucial cards: Tinkmaster Overspark and Nat Pagle.

More specifically, Tinkmaster Overspark will now be a 3/3 card, as opposed to its previous 2/2 rating, and it can transform a random minion into a 5/5 Devilsaur or a 1/1 Squirrel.

"Tinkmaster is a neutral card that silences and often shrinks big creatures. This reduces the amount of big, fun creatures in the environment. We think this change will increase the amount fun creatures in the environment, and bring him more in-line with his cost and overall power. Tinkmaster should still show up in certain types of decks, but will no longer be appearing in every high level deck," the studio said.

Nat Pagle was also modified, as it will now draw an extra card at the beginning of your turn, instead of at the end of it, like it was before.

"Nat Pagle will now draw a card at the start of your turn rather than at the end. Nat had too much draw power for a card that is fairly hard to counter so early in the game, making it almost an auto-include for many decks. This change reduces the power of the card and gives players more time to counter the card before it starts."

Besides the two aforementioned cards, the new Hearthstone update will also change up the Ranked Play system, as at the start of each new season, a player will be given a boost in rating depending on his performance at the end of the previous season.

"After the next patch, you will receive bonus stars at the start of each season based on your performance from the previous season. This way, players that have progressed far into any given Ranked Play season will not be challenging those potentially new to the game or jumping into Ranked Play for the first time."

After the patch drops in the near future, all expert cards will be available for disenchantment for their full cost for a limited time, so that you can easily make changes to your deck.
