The singer talks to her fans after a long period of silence

Britney Spears is confusing. She is no longer that cute girl with a wonderful smile who always looked great and who seemed to be one of the most amazing persons in this world. Instead, she is something else, and if that's a good or a bad is up to you to decide.

Over the weekend, the singer indulged in more pampering and shopping (two of her favorite activities in the last couple of weeks) and it was inevitable that she stumbled upon the paparazzi on her many ways out and about town. In recent days, Britney was not very talkative to them but this time was an exception - even more, she agreed to give an exclusive interview to the one of the paps.

After a couple of hours of retail therapy and a trip to a posh spa, Britney went into a sushi restaurant and, upon seeing the many paparazzi asking her questions about her upcoming album and highly anticipated comeback, she asked one of them to come with her inside because she had 'something to say'. While the purpose of this footage (was she fighting back reports or was she simply trying to have some laughs?) completely eludes me, here's a sample of what you should expect:

'And, like, I saw these magazines, and they said I was pregnant, and like it's so true. Like, America, believe everything you read because like you're smart and I'm stupid. Like for real. C'mon y'all.... Like this lady told me "Britney, go to the light. Go to the light and see Jesus, OK?" And I was like, "Ohmigod, I'm going to do it." And I did it. And it happened, and it's just so weird because our world is so nice.'

And the monologue goes on and on... and on and on... And Britney also talks about her rehab stint and then there are many other 'and, like' and girlish bursts of laughter. You know, the whole deal! If she did this as a way to turn the tables on the media and the public, then she's a genius. If she did it to have fun at the public's expense, then maybe she should have thought twice of her fans.
