This week, a court of law in Munich, Germany, ordered a would-be dentist and self-proclaimed healer to pay one of his patients a €20,000 (about $21,500) compensation for having pulled all 19 of his teeth without having any actual medical reasons to do so.

It is understood that the dentist, identified only as K, removed the patient's teeth because he believed that this would help him regain his virility and make him feel more energetic.

In court, the healer argued that the patient's chompers were making him sick and that he couldn't simply leave them in place and merely try to fix them because the man was allergic to fillings and also suffered from chronic bone inflammation.

An independent report presented in court, however, showed that the dentist had no medical reasons to operate on the patient, referred to as Alex S., and remove all 19 of his teeth, DM informs.

Why the patient agreed to have his teeth removed

The man whose teeth were pulled out by the healer was a schizophrenia patient. He was convinced that his teeth were poisonous and that having them removed would boost his virility and improve energy flows in his body.

Rather than refer Alex S. to a psychiatrist, the healer agreed with the patient's self-diagnosis and decided to remove his teeth. It took about a month for the dentist to pull out all 19 of the man's chompers.

The bizarre intervention cost Alex S. €2,000 ($2,150). Since the patient was mentally ill and living in a forest on a diet of raw food, it is unclear how he could afford to pay the healer.

The dentist insists he did absolutely nothing wrong

By the looks of it, the healer didn't operate on Alex S. and remove all of his teeth simply because he wanted to take advantage of the mentally ill man and take his money. On the contrary, word has it that he actually believed his story.

In a letter addressed to his lawyer, the healer wrote that “He is not psychotic, he's marvelous.” He further explained that the patient's teeth were, in fact, poisonous and that he did well to remove them.

In fact, the healer was so upset about being dragged to court over this case that he demanded €50,000 (nearly $54,000) in compensation on the grounds that the lawsuit was damaging his reputation.

Having dismissed the request, a judge ordered the dentist to pay Alex S. €20,000 ($21,500). Word has it the healer might also have to pay for the teeth implants his former patient now desperately needs.
