14 DAY TRIAL // A couple of weeks ago, word got out in the media that “Heroes” hottie was seen engaging in a very public display of affection with singer Jesse McCartney, which prompted speculation that her affair with co-star Milo Ventimiglia had come to an end. Us Weekly is now confirming the split, saying that the two simply had different priorities that impeded them from going on as a couple.
The two started dating in late 2007 and, for a long while, their relationship was one of the worst kept secrets of showbiz, as the media was quick to label it. In all fairness, they still continue to be very private, as the split has not been confirmed by their publicists or by them, but by an unnamed source who claims to be close to both. The problem, it seems, was that Hayden and Milo had different lifestyles and, as such, different priorities in life, which made it impossible for the affair to work.
“It was a lifestyle conflict. They were in very different places. [Hayden] likes to go out in the Hollywood scene and that’s not his style. [Milo] has been concentrating on work on his production company [Divide Pictures]. They are still on friendly terms. There are no hard feelings.” the unnamed source reveals for Us Weekly. However, this seems to be a split on very amicable terms, as the two still hang out, the same spy reveals.
As mentioned above, the pair began dating in 2007 and was subject to much media scrutiny because of the 12-year age gap. Despite several rumors about Hayden being determined to take the relationship to the next step by moving in with Milo, much to her mother and friends’ disapproval, no such thing ever happened as far as it is known. Just recently, Hayden showed the first signs that she might have moved on by spending the night out and kissing Jesse McCartney, as Radar Online claimed.
“We partied at Crown Bar until we passed out – no, not from drinking, from shock. It happened right after we saw 19-year-old Hayden Panattiere all over Jesse McCartney. The ‘Heroes’ star was sitting on Jesse’s lap while he kissed her neck. It must be over between Hayden and her long-time squeeze Milo Ventimigla, 31, because after her inside PDA with Jesse, 21, they went outside to smoke and he wrapped his arms around her from behind and was kissing her neck again.” Radar wrote at the time.
