Just when you thought you've seen it all, here comes something to prove you wrong. Probably the last thing you touch before going to sleep at night is a PlayStation controller (may it be PS3 or PS2), but what about the first thing you touch when you wake up?

You know that you can't game on an empty stomach so first, you head for the kitchen and get a hold of the toaster. With two slices of toast in your belly you can go back to your gaming console. Some thought of combing the most important meal of the day (breakfast) with their favorite gaming console the PS2, and that is how the PlayStation toaster came to life.

Destructoid has the story and they also have some additional information which came via an email sent by the creator of this toaster. He admits to being a nerd and a gamer as well as having an artistic vision. By the looks of it, this unusual PS2 mod was the result of extreme boredom, as he and one of his friends were standing around the case when they suddenly got the yearn for a PS2 mod.

Here is how the process unrolled:"The hardest part was removing all the toasting-parts from the toaster. It was all rusted together inside and the little handle thing was attached to EVERYTHING. After thoroughly disemboweling and polishing the toaster, all we had to do was saw two square holes for the buttons, make some brackets to secure the Playstation in place, and make some taller feet for the
toaster so that it could sit comfortably on the floor with the cables plugged in. Oh, and if I remember correctly, we had to saw off some little parts of the ps2's case that couldn't be unscrewed. The whole project was done in an afternoon, and it was easier than I thought it would be."
