Bon Jovi has recently released "Have a Nice Day" as the opening track of the album with the same title, which is to be released in September. Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora co-produced "Have a Nice Day," with John Shanks, who took Grammy producer-of-the-year honors in February.
The latest Bon Jovi album, which has been announced for this spring, is due in stores Sept. 20 in the U.S. and Canada.
"It's a big rock record that I think is gonna surprise a lot of people," Bon Jovi said. "It's a very contemporary sound, a real rockin' record", the singer added.
The songs on "Have a Nice Day" reflect "personal and introspective views on issues", as the New Jersey-band is "trying ti get back to some optimism, people accepting each other".
I may have had growing up that I certainly would have never discussed publicly before," Bon Jovi told Billboard.
"I've always kept this `'chin up, glass is half-full' kind of optimism, and (now) I showed some chinks in the armor".
The famous rock band, that has sold more than 100 million albums in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and played live concerts in major cities in Asia, Europe, Australia, Canada and South America, in addition to a large number of cities in the USA, have sometimes been classified as hair metal - sometimes even regarded as the form's prime shapers - but have proved much more durable than most groups so labeled.
Bon Jovi has inspired lots of today's bands, and also created the "Unplugged" style of performing on a MTV award show. (wikipedia)
