A BASH bass cylinder you can't miss

So, you decided to heavily redecorate. Or have your neighbors go crazy. Or are you conducting a series of experiments on yourself, trying to find out how does the human body (you) withstand extreme bass. Whatever your purpose would be, there goes the newest solution to your hardware: the brand new PC Ultra-13 subwoofer from SVS.

[admark=1]This bass powerhouse is the latest in bass industry, packing up extreme performance while taking up significantly less floor space than you have maybe been expecting; using it as an extension for your existing stereo loudspeaker array or having it delivering its thunderous sound in a home theater installation will end up in the same way: exceptional bass reproduction.

First of all, the SVS PC Ultra-13 has been developed from the start as a cylinder and not as a cube, thus dropping the traditional home-use design and going for the in-car one, the bass cannon. This has led to the minimal floorspace requirement other brands can barely dream of at the same performance specs; the more available room - the more you'll be enjoying your new d?cor.

The heart of this monstrous bass machine is an SVS proprietary 13" woofer with a concave cone made from polymethacrilimide (it's high-tech and it's expensive, don't try to memorize the name), with high-temp flatwire 3" voice coil and a massive dual-stack magnet motor. Just the perfect outlet for the brutal 750W RMS power developed by the internal BASH amplifier. Yes, those BASH amps which can marvelously combine the high-fidelity of Class A/B amps with the wall-wrecking power and efficiency of the Class D units.

As for the rest, the SVS PC Ultra-13 has had its bass driver loaded in a down-firing position, using the very base plate as dispersion element while the top of the cylindric cabinet sports no less than three bass reflex round-hole vents with baffled edges for optimal air flux; even more, supplied port plugs will let you drop the bottom-end quite a lot, pretty much for a better room compensation.

You can read extensive tech details here; I'll just add that the SVS PC Ultra-13 sells for an unbelievable price, way lower than expected: $1,400. And if the neighbors call the police, you haven't heard about the Ultra from me, right?

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
