They will have high prices, unfortunately, which has made brand vendors cautious

Intel doesn't intend to release the Haswell CPU line before Computex 2013 (June 4-8), but that hasn't stopped the Core i7-4770K from being reviewed in China, or the desktop series from already selling.

Now, it has come to light, or at least rumor has it, that notebooks will reach retail channels by the end of the month (May 2013).

I suspect they will only be available for pre-order with shipments only bound to start after the trade show in Taipei.

Unless countries start copying the Chinese and start selling them early, but that isn't all that likely.

There's also the pricing issue: Haswell-based notebooks will be expensive compared to Ivy Bridge ones. It has caused brand vendors to be wary of placing high orders.

The customer feedback in June and July will determine the way forward for everyone involved.
