MySpace prepares to debut the News service, a service built on Newroo platform able to collect news from multiple sources and display the headlines on a single page. Yep, just like Google News. At this time, Google's product receives information from more than 4.500 sources from all over the world and organizes it
on several categories, making it available on a single webpage visited by millions of users. MySpace News will be based on the same principle, receiving headlines from numerous sources and displaying them on a separate subdomain owned by the parent company. According to TechCrunch, the product that will be launched today will contain 25 categories and 300 news channels such as sports, technology or politics. Every headline will display a rating system that will allow users to vote it and bring the news on a higher position on the page. The readers will be able to rate the news with a rank of 1-5, bringing the headline on the top of the category.

Although rumors about this product were spread a long time ago, the company refused to comment them and kept the service private until today. Now, Google must take attitude and improve the News service that wasn't too promoted recently. Google News is currently the most popular news solution on the Internet, millions of readers visiting the page every day.

Some time ago, Google News was continuously brought in the spotlight because other companies sued the parent company for copyright infringement. The most known lawsuit was filed by several Belgian newspapers that decided to sue the search giant for copyright infringement after Google News published several headlines without authorization. AFP also had a litigation with the search giant after the news service published information without the company's approval. The judge ordered Google to remove AFP's content and to remove the company from the news sources list.
