Has She Been Brainwashed? Fergie Supports Britney and Lindsay

It's really kind of sweet - but totally fake

From drug user to drug user - some well-aimed advice

It looks like there are still some celebrities out there who haven't reached that degree of embarrassment that prevents them from speaking out in support of Britney and Li Lo. In other words, either someone has brainwashed them, or they simply believe in miracles such as trainwrecks going back on track and sex and drug addicts quitting and settling down to lead a nice, normal, quiet life. I'm talking, of course, about the two best-known disasters of the moment, Britney and Lindsay, although I have to add - much to Li Lo's credit - that except for the occasional sex now and again, she's been keeping quiet in rehab. Which is more than we can say about the Britster, who derailed again on the MTV stage and is now in full post-crisis psychosis.

The not-so-mysterious supporter I was mentioning earlier is none other than "Female Artist of the Year" (or so MTV claims) Fregie, who has stated that the two drugged-out former teen stars have to get better on their own and become aware of their mistakes - and enter a convent and never have sex again. Joke. No, in fact Fergie defended Brit and Lindsay, whom she claims have been getting too much media attention.

"They're young" Fergie said. "I was young when I went through my stuff. Leave them alone. If they want to get better, they're going to get better on their own. If somebody is going to change, they have to want to do it themselves". Yes, but what happens when the young stars in question lose all sense of proportion and think they are somehow all-powerful and will get away with anything? What then?

"I think it is really unfair to them when they are trying to get help. We're all watching as a nation and commenting day by day on their rehabilitation. It's not fair. You're supposed to have a sanctuary, a place where you can go and not be pressured every day". True as well, but what happens when you run out of money and decide to stage so-called "candid" photo shoots in rehab just to remind the world you're still there?

Well, maybe Fergie knows what she's talking about, seeing how she spends so much of her time being drunk or taking meth - so she's aware of how it takes serious willpower to put that double vodka Red Bull down and call it a night. But on the whole, this is just empty talk from her - she should just enjoy the fact that she has a career and is not hitting the tabloid headlines every 10 seconds.
