Isn't it true that you were desperately waiting for some news about Lindsay Lohan? Admit it! Well, I for once was, and it didn't take long for my wish to come true. Been missing our drugged-out "I'm the queen of the world" friend? Well, she's (sort of) back. Don't worry - she didn't overdose and she didn't manage another DUI, for all we know she's still in rehab and doing whatever people do when in rehab (oh, wait, does that include taking drugs and having sex in bathrooms? I guess so).
Only she appears to have a tiny little problem, totally unfit for such a beauty queen as our lovely Lindsay. But what can you do - times change and people who once had millions are now left begging their friends for money. Which is exactly what she has been doing lately.
Sources say, Lohan has been asking (the right word is begging) acquaintances for money. Lohan is said to ask just about everyone to give (give, nor lend) her "small" sums, such as $10,000. Why? Well, obviously those drugs don't come cheap, do they? Especially if you get them in rehab, which has to be such a bitch for a girl who's used to people doing her bidding at a moment's notice.
So the question begging to be asked is, what has Lindsay done with all her money? Truth be told, the former celebrity is known to spend (that is, throw away) millions on clothing, shoes and accessories alone - and there was me thinking celebrities get free clothes to wear from famous designers just because they're...well, celebrities.
Also, there was a time about two years ago when Lindsay horrified everyone by running a million-dollar bill at the Chateau Marmont Hotel, where she also managed to make the owners consider placing a ban on her - something which probably never happened before at the exclusivist Hollywood retreat of the rich and famous.
One thing is for sure - after Lindsay's second DUI, her mother Dina cut her daughter off from what was left of her money (probably kept some of it for herself, but that's already another story) and poor little Li-Lo is not really used to being lest penniless. "Dina must think Lohan is a serious addict, and she's afraid if she gives her even $20, she'll run out and buy drugs and booze," a source close to the family states. "Lindsay wants money - what she calls 'cake' - now," says a source. She's even asked guys she's only met two or three times to hand over $10,000. That's what she always asks for: 10K" the insider adds.
And while most of the ones she's tried to ripp off didn't fall for it, there were some who did. And it also look like this is the reason for which Lindsay staged her little photo shoot in rehab. It wasn't fame or the judge seeing her on her best behavior - it was money, pure and simple. Man, after all this time this girl's shallowness still manages to amaze me. Wonder if there will come a day when it won't.
