Luxury department store aims to turn it into the stroll of pride

We all know the meaning of the phrase “walk of shame,” some of us probably from experience. British luxury department store Harvey Nichols wants to take it and turn it into the stroll of pride.

After releasing a touching, emotional Christmas ad, Harvey Nichols is now trying a different approach, by targeting another segment of its female customer base: the young ones who party a lot.

The video shows various women on their way home after a night of partying and hooking up with strangers, one may assume.

Their dresses are too tight and too revealing – in some cases even ill-fitting –, their hair and makeup are a mess and they're basically doing the walk of shame because everybody on the street knows why they look like this and, most importantly, where they're coming from.

The final girl in the video, though, is pure glamor. She's dressed up to the nines, it's true, but she's also stylish and, by the looks of things, also took her time to do her hair and makeup a bit.

But the ad is telling us that it's the dress that does it for her. She even stops to chat with a man on the street so she's definitely not ashamed.

Useless to say, because of the implications of the ad, it's already turned viral. Those who've seen it either hate it completely or love it and find it hilarious.

Check it out and tell us where you fit in.
