Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness is a farm simulation videogame published and developed by Marvelous Interactive in Japan, and released in North America by Natsume exclusively for the Nintendo DS. It is the fourth installment of the Harvest Moon series on the DS and the first one to give players the opportunity to choose between a female or male character.

The story is pretty basic, with players choosing to be either Mark or Chelsea, who are stranded on a deserted island together with their family of four people. In order to survive, the player must farm and grow their own food, a fact that will attract other characters to the island and, steadily but surely, develop the community of the island. The actions of the characters are controlled with the touchscreen, with a much more improved control scheme than the previous DS titles in the Harvest Moon franchise.

This game uses the Nintendo Wi-Fi service for a farm ranking service, and a voice chat session using the built-in microphone of the DS. The game received mixed reviews, with critics complaining of long distances which need to be traveled on the island and that, at the beginning, even the simplest tasks are very difficult and can easily scare off any casual gamer.
