The Nintendo DS has always been regarded as a very innovative handheld console, partly due to the fact that it has two screens and that you can use a stylus on the touchscreen interface. This interesting control scheme has allowed game developers to create titles only for Nintendo's handheld console.
Such is the case with Harvest Fishing, developed by Rising Star Games. Now, don't think this is just an ordinary fishing game, because this title actually gives you a story and a reason to fish, not just because it’s a way to relax or unwind after a hard day. You sister has fallen in an eternal sleep and the only you can save her is to ask the River King for help. In order to do that, you must catch this big fish and make it help your sister.
Harvest Fishing fully uses the Nintendo DS touchscreen and offers a fishing experience you'll never forget. You'll get a huge collection of baits, lures, rods, as well as a variety of fishing games (and mini-games) and, of course, a river full of fish! A multiplayer version is also available via Wi-Fi Connection or DS Wireless, with up to four players being able to enter tournaments and prove their ability to the world. You'll also make friends with lots of magical creatures and a host of colorful characters, all with special attributes that you'll have to unlock and use in order to succeed in getting the River King and save your sister.
HINTS
Catching fish
Use the stylus to quickly circle the middle of the touchscreen twice. Briefly lift the stylus from the touchscreen, then quickly make two circles again. Repeat this to keep your line below 25% and prevent the fish from going off to the site. You should be able to catch any size fish in less than 30 seconds. If your line tension gets high, try creating one and a half circles (or even less) with the stylus instead. You can also pause slightly longer while the stylus is off the touchscreen.
