The fifth movie of the "Harry Potter" series has had its European premiere last night in London. It seems that "The Order of the Phoenix" was too hot to be put out by the pouring rain, as hundreds of devoted fans (mostly girls) braved the bad weather.
Although she is camera shy, J.K. Rowling, none other than the one woman who is responsible for the creation of Harry Potter, made a personal appearance at last night's festivities. This should not come as a big surprise, considering that the latest book of the Potter franchise, namely "The Deathly Hallows", is set to hit the libraries on June 21.
The author refused to give away any details regarding how the adventure ends. Rowling stated that writing the last "Harry Potter" novel turned out to be an emotional event, involving both sadness and relief. She was also crystal clear when she assured everyone that there will not be any other books to follow.
As for the cast, Daniel Radcliffe seems to have become quite the cheeky fellow after his first on-screen kiss with Katie Leung. The scene in which Harry Potter kisses Cho Chang is rumored to last about 30 seconds, which is also the number of takes it took to get it right.
The studio must have instructed Daniel to embrace a more sexual image, since he made a number of interesting comments. For instance, he picked out a girl in the crowd and declared that he would love to get to know her better after the show. The marketing experts may have a point as Harry's female fans have grown along with Daniel, and their hormones are starting to kick in. It could be the explanation for banners such as: "Show us your wand, Harry baby!"
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" is about the young wizard returning to Hogwarts for his fifth year of school. All is not well as his teachers begin to be suspicious about Harry's recent encounter with Lord Voldemort.
