More and more good news for gamers who enjoy big screen video game adaptations. It looks like the world will have for sure a Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix video game as it was confirmed by EA and Warner Bros. Interactive Representatives.

The game is scheduled to come out in June of 2007, and its release date is meant to coincide with the release date of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix video game is being developed by EA's UK Studio and it will be released on all available platforms, including Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3. It will be the first of the Harry Potter games to be developed for next-gen platforms.

In this game, you will see Harry returning to Hogwarts for his fifth year, and finding that the wizard community does not want to acknowledge that Lord Voldemort is back. A new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is appointed, by Cornelius Fudge the Minister of Magic, in order to keep an eye on Dumbledore and his magic school.

I'm not going to reveal the whole plot and ending of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix video game/film so you'll just have to wait until June of next year.
