Harrison Ford's broken leg is going to cause a two-week delay in the shooting of “Star Wars: Episode VII”

Last week, it was announced that Harrison Ford's injured leg during filming of the latest movie in the “Star Wars” franchise was recovering well and that the actor was expected to make his return to the movie set in the shortest time possible, thus dispelling any doubts that he was going to set back production of the movie.

This week, however, the news is different, in the sense that we find out that filming for the movie is going to be suspended for a full two weeks due to Harrison's broken leg. The movie's official website informs that “Harrison is doing well and is looking forward to returning to the set soon, after sustaining his leg injury. The hiatus will not cause a delay in the film’s release set for Dec. 18, 2015.”

Harrison Ford has agreed to reprise his role as Han Solo in the sci-fi movies, but he met with an unfortunate accident while filming a scene at Pinewood Studios in England. It is reported that a hydraulic door fell on his ankle on the Millennium Falcon set.

At the time of the accident, it was feared that the injury of the aging actor would cause much greater delays or even put him out of action altogether. However, it seems Ford is more resilient than previously thought, and with the right help, he's going to bring Solo back to life in “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
