Reports are coming in from the set of the latest Star Wars movie which is currently filming at Pinewood Studios in England and they're not good. It looks like aging actor Harrison Ford, one of the few to star in the original movie, has sustained a bad ankle injury on Wednesday.

Ford was brought in on the team by director J.J. Abrams to reprise his role as the lovable mercenary Han Solo. The aging actor was airlifted to a hospital after the incident occurred, according to a statement released by Disney, the parent company of Lucasfilm, quoted by Variety.

The statement reveals that Ford “was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care.” We find out that the actor was injured on the set of the Pinewood Studios when a hydraulic door fell down and hit him. Doctors speculate that the actor's ankle might be broken.

The director has redrawn the shooting schedule to accommodate for Harrison's injury while he recuperates. This probably means that he's going to shoot scenes that don't involve Han Solo and continue with the rest of the cast until he's well enough to perform again.

The bad news is that Ford might not have that long to recuperate since he's got projects lined up back-to-back after “Episode VII.” He's supposed to appear in two more Star Wars movies, the “Blade Runner” sequel and the next “Indiana Jones” movie.
