Harmonix is one of the most popular developers out there largely due to the fact that it is responsible for the first popular music game, Guitar Hero, and for one of the biggest music franchises, Rock Band.
But the company is also a big player in the peripheral instruments market, as it has released quite a few high-end plastic instruments for the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. In partnership with PDP and MTV Games, it has just announced that a kick pedal with a double bass adaptor is now up for sale for just 24.95 dollars across North America.
“The Rock Band Kick Pedal with Double Bass Adaptor” will allow gamers to play with two kick pedals at the same time and will work seamlessly with the first and the second Rock Band titles. It supports all in-game tracks, including the freestyle and drum fill sections that they might have.
But as an interesting twist, it seems that the Rock Band Kick Pedal with Double Bass Adaptor will also work with the latest iterations in Rock Band's archrival franchise, Guitar Hero. That's right, gamers will also be able to use this new peripheral with GH: World Tour and the recently launched
GH: Metallica, which has support for two kick pedals on the Expert+ difficulty setting.
The new peripheral will be compatible with any drum kit made either for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii or PlayStation 2 consoles, and promises to deliver a true drum-rocking experience to hardcore gamers who want to test their skills with any tracks they want.
All in all, with such a low price and a wide variety of games and consoles supported, you can be sure that couch rockers around the world will certainly consider buying this new peripheral just in time for the Easter Bunny’s arrival.
