It looks like a humidifier really, but it's definitely a speaker

If you wanted to see something weird, Harman Kardon has just the thing for you, the Aura wireless speaker.

It looks rather like a frying pan (a voluminous one) with a glass bowl on top of it, upside-down. Well, that's one way to describe it, but the truth is that the resemblance is vague, because the Aura only vaguely resembles everything else out there.

Which was kind of the point of this waveguide dome’s shape. But I digress.

The Harman Kardon Aura has six 1.5-inch high and mid-range drives (omnidirectional audio) and a 4.5-inch subwoofer.

There's also LED illumination and, for over-air streaming, Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay support with DLNA. Auxiliary/optical inputs exist too, though.

That said, frequency response is of 50Hz to 20kHz, and the price of the product is £349.99 / $572 / €414.51.
