As critics and the media are turning their back on what was supposed to be Christina Aguilera’s comeback album and which turned out to be a flop, the album “Bionic,” one fan is out to save it. His idea of doing so is by shedding $3,000 on Christina’s album and sending a very artful message to gossip blogger Perez Hilton, as
AllieIsWired informs.
Fans of the singer or readers of Perez’s gossip blog, the most visited of the kind, know that it’s been a few weeks now that he’s started referring to her as FlopTina. Rarely a day goes by without Perez writing something bad about Aguilera – and the fan in question sees this as a smear campaign that eventually ended up affecting sales of the CD. In retaliation, he went out and bought as many copies of the album as he could to send the irreverent blogger a strong message.
“She sang at one of his birthday parties in an effort to gain some favor with the blogger, but it’s not panning out for her. Since he’s been on
the Lady Gaga bandwagon, he’s been trying to stick it to Christina. Her first single from the album, ‘Not Myself Tonight’ was obviously not her best song from ‘Bionic,’ but it was still better than what he’s making it out to be. He’s dubbed the singer “FlopTina” and trashes her at any given opportunity. What he forgets is that people in the record business see that and they know that he has absolutely no taste in music whatsoever,” AllieIsWired writes.
“His commenters know, too, because they have to be sick and tired of him bashing someone with real talent. All the while, he’s promoting Katy Perry, Travis Garland and Sliimy (remember him??) One Christina fan got fed up with his antics and took $3,000 to the record store and purchased 250 copies of her new CD. Not only that, but this fan plans on selling them in China, where the CD hasn’t yet made its debut. In an artful message to Perez, you can check out what this uber-fan spelled out with the CDs,” the e-zine further says.
The message the fan has for Perez, spelled in Christina’s CDs no less, is “[Expletive] Perez.” Moreover, the fan took pictures of his deed and posted them on a Christina Aguilera forum, where he’s already being congratulated for it. However, his gesture, no matter how kind or considerate, is not enough to save the material: people are
not buying the material and it shows, as it’s slowly slipping out of the international charts.
