A brand new Polish game studio, Flying Wild Hog, has just announced its first game, called Hard Reset, which is set to appear in just two months, this September, exclusively for the PC.

These days games are usually announced years in advance, but a new Polish studio called Flying Wild Hog and formed by veterans from other companies like CD Projekt Red, the makers of The Witcher, People Can Fly, the team behind Bulletstorm, or City Interactive, makers of Sniper: Ghost Warrior, has decided to debut its game just two months before its release, via PC Gamer.

The title is a dark, sci-fi first-person shooter that seemingly combines elements from other over the top games like Painkiller, set in a futuristic dystopia where robots have taken over almost all of humanity, except a single city.

"The PC-exclusive title transports players to a haunting, dystopian future, with humanity on the verge of extinction, confined to its last standing city and under constant threat from the robotic hordes that aim to annihilate mankind. Hard Reset is scheduled for release in September 2011," said the studio in a statement.

"In the only remaining human city of Bezoar, Major Fletcher, an Army Combat Veteran and soldier of the CLN, is dragged into a conflict between two of mankind’s greatest enemies. He is to discover that nothing is what it seems to be."

The game is running on a proprietary engine, called Road Hog, which is set to deliver quality visuals that take advantage of the powerful PCs that have, these days at least, overtaken consoles in terms of performance.

The studio also released several screenshots of the game's action, which all look quite interesting, showing off both the detailed levels as well as the pretty rich color scheme that looks a bit out of place in this dark shooter.

A short teaser trailer can also be found below, so stay tuned for more details in the following weeks about Hard Reset.
