An interesting device, worth checking out in detail

Have you noticed how everyone is adding “motion” to anything that can in theory be motion-controlled? This is, in part, due to the rapid spread of mobile, touch-enabled devices as well as the success of gaming peripherals and consoles such as the Wii, PS Move or Microsoft Kinect controller.

One such device, among probably a few hundred others, is the Haptix: a laptop clip that not only is said to turn every surface into a multitouch-enabled device, but that also allows the user to control his or her laptop via gestures such as Minority Report-ish swiping.

While that will definitely not make you Tom Cruise, it will probably help increase your geek stardom and, why not, improve the way you use your laptop. Just imagine swiping through spreadsheets and reports, selecting and merging cells, and so on. Riveting, I know!

Should you decide that the Haptix is what you've been looking for your whole life, don't wait and go make the pledge.
