It seems that quite a few e-readers have been released over the past month, no doubt in order for them to be present as prospective purchases during the holiday season, and Hanvon has now added its latest device, the so-called WISEreader.

E-readers have definitely come a long way since last year, not just in terms of how many they are now but also in how they have started to incorporate more advanced features.

Most of them have a very large storage capacity, or a microSD slot that allows one to provide it with many gigabytes.

They also support various file types, not just e-books but even audio and pictures, while the actual e-reading part has gained, among other things, the possibility of making page annotations or organizing e-books in collections.

There are even a few readers that actually boast color screens, one of which was released by Hanvon and put up for pre-order not too long ago.

Now, the same company has released a more 'conservative' e-reader, one whose name is the WISEreader B630.

It measures 206 x 133 x 11.3 mm and comes with an E Ink 16-level greyscale display, whose native resolution is of 800 x 600 pixels.

The product page says that a microSD card slot lets consumers put up to 32 GB of storage into it, while the 1,500 mAh battery can last for up to 8,000 page turns.

There is also mention of a mini USB 2.0 port and a QWERTY keyboard, plus the WinCE operating system and support for various document and image files, plus WAV, WMA and MP3 audio (can be listened to via the built-in earphone jack).

Those interested in buying this 262.2-gram device will have to part with 229 Euro, while the full rundown of the specifications can be found on this page that Hanvon has added to its website.
