One of the movies I’m eagerly waiting for is “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D,” but that’s mostly because I love Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton and the idea of seeing them together in a film. Now I have something more to look forward to with this movie.

Witches!

A new, red band trailer for the film, which seems to sit at the crossroads of a typical Hollywood monster flick and silly comedy (think “Zombieland”), has been released and, as usual, you can check it out below – just *please note that discretion is recommended because it contains images of violence that might offend.

It tells the story of Hansel and Gretel after they escaped the evil witch in the fairytale and decided that dedicating their lives to hunting witches would be a nice way to make a living.

Famke Janssen is the big bad witch who comes after them, sending her minions to get them and, of course, having them killed in the most gruesome fashion in the process.

“Hansel & Gretel” will be out on January 25, after being pushed back from 2012. That alone is indication that Paramount has zero faith in the film, industry insiders are saying, but I’m still going to give it a chance.
