Did anyone say "Fire"?

First time I visited the Hannspree website, I thought I went to Disneyland. Literally. If you want to see how a website can turn you upside down, do a little search on Google and then visit the website. The Hannspree brand has available for the public three separate collections of hardware related thingies: Sports, Fantasy and Style.

I won't say much about the collections because you have to see them for yourself to believe that such things actually exist. In fact, as I've said before, the entire website has a childhood/Disneyland flavor. For example, the "Sports" section is all about small LCDs wrapped in ball-like enclosures. The casing can vary a lot starting with the baseball line and ending with the football line. The "Style" line has a totally different aspect with the enclosures having a more refined finish. But what really blew my mind was the "Fantasy" line.

Here, you will find products that are related to the Disney Cartoons, Batman, Looney Tunes and many more. Would you like a PowerPuff Girls TV for your kid? Well, this is probably the only place you will find it. And of course, the "Fantasy" collection also includes our "Firetruck" TV.

The original one advertised on the site is built around a 12.1" panel and has a standard resolution of 800x600 pixels. Just enough to make a good TV for the kids. But what if I told you that Hannspree has produced a "kingsize" version of its Firetruck TV?

We don't know much about it (and no we don't know whether it will be shown at CES or not though some initial rumors said it will be there) but what we can say is that it will cost around $10,000. But I guess that it's worth having a big screen TV disguised as a fire truck in your bedroom. And I don't even care if it will perform lousy. The idea is too cool.
