Interviewed businessman says he was ‘just waiting for [Jobs] to kick the bucket’

Lie Jun, a man who is planning on selling a new handset that rivals the iPhone in both specs and price, has admitted in an interview with Entrepreneur that he and others like him were eagerly waiting for Steve Jobs to die.

As 99.99 percent of the world’s population were mourning the passing of Steve Jobs last month, a handful of smartphone makers rejoiced knowing they finally had a shot at selling their products, according to Lie Jun, who said in an interview:

"[Steve] Jobs will die someday, so there are still opportunities for us. The meaning of our existence is just waiting for him to kick the bucket."

It is unclear why their success was so strongly tied to the demise of the iconic Apple co-founder, but there you have it.

It’s also unclear just how little moral fiber one must have to utter such ignorant words, but I’m guessing Lie Jun has the answer to that too.
