Present at IFA 2014 in Berlin, HP took the opportunity to launch two new Chromebook models and one of them follows in Acer’s footsteps and runs an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor under the hood.

The HP Chromebook 14 was put on display at the event and we managed to spend some time with it.

Here we have to take a minute and tell you again how impressed we are with the Tegra K1 performance overall. The laptop runs quite seamlessly and won’t stutter even if you perform multi-tasking actions on it.

Yesterday, we were shown a comparison by NVIDIA between a Chromebook running the Tegra K1 and a Netbook equipped with the Intel Bay Trail and the former performed a lot better.

Anyway, the new Chromebook 14 which will probably be offered in both full HD (1920 x 1200) and plain HD (1280 x 768) options, is quite light and portable (something that is quite visible from the images) so in theory, you should be able to take it with you anywhere.

The new device takes advantage of either 2GB or 4GB of RAM and boasts internal storage of 16GB. It also has USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, HDMI out, headset jack and 802.11act Wi-Fi.

Also check out our hands-on of the Acer Chromebook 13 running on the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor.
