Handcent SMS for Android Gets Android 4.2 and Nexus 4 Support

With more than 10 million downloads on Google Play store, Handcent SMS is one of the most popular messaging apps for Android devices. Handcent SMS offers users a more powerful alternative to the stock Android messaging application.

The latest version of Handcent SMS comes with a few new features and bug fixes, which are meant to improve users’ overall experience.

Aside from that, developers added supports for Google’s latest Android 4.0 operating system. In addition, the application is now fully compatible with Nexus 4.

The following changes have been included in this update:

- Add “Lower priority” option if you want some 3rd security applications can filter SMS before Handcent;
- New eCards and greetings for Thanksgiving Day;
- Fix some known issue.

Handcent SMS 4.6 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.5 and up. Check it out here.
