343 Industries has offered a few brief statements about Halo: The Master Chief Collection apeparing on other platforms besides the Xbox One, saying that, while it can't be done on the Xbox 360 due to technical issues, the PC edition isn't being ruled out.

By far, one of the biggest announcements made by Microsoft at E3 2014 last week was Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a special pack that includes Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4, all remastered for the Xbox One.

Since then, quite a lot of PC and even Xbox 360 owners have started asking developer 343 Industries about the chances of seeing the collection on their own platforms.

Now, on the Halo Waypoint, 343 hasn't ruled out seeing the saga on PC, saying only that "Our current focus is on the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One," when asked about a PC edition of the new pack.

In terms of a Xbox 360 edition, 343 quickly ruled it out due to technical reasons.

"We are dedicated to bringing a full and fun experience to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One, providing you with dedicated servers, a unified interface, increased visual fidelity, and gameplay running at 60 fps. We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply can’t support it."

As such, it seems that 343 does leave the door open for The Master Chief Collection to appear on PC.
