Halo: The Master Chief Collection is no longer affected by major gameplay issues for the majority of fans, and that means developers at 343 Industries and the team at Microsoft are free to work more on adding variety and interesting moments to the shooter.

An official Halo Waypoint update offers info on how the launch line-up was designed by the two companies and the way the teams have sought to introduce as many beloved choices as possible.

343 Industries says it wants to make sure that the most popular of the playlists always remain accessible in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

At the same time, more variety for rotational playlists is something that the community has been asking for since launch.

The studio states, "Some of the things we’re thinking about include Action Sack, Infection, and more. Next up will be Team Objective, which will feature game types like Battle Creek CTF, BR-start 1-Flag CTF on Burial Mounds, and other classic 4v4 game objective game types."

Team Objective might also become a permanent playlist in Halo: The Master Chief Collection as long as the community uses it a lot.

Besides that, 343 Industries is continuing to work on other elements of the game, including voting options and weighting, and the playlists might be tweaked to become more attractive.

It's unclear how many of the changes are being prepared for the May update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, as the changelog for that one was not yet revealed.

The priority at the moment is a hotfix for the party joining issue

After the most recent update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection was introduced, the community flagged a bug encountered by those who have a big number of Xbox Live friends when trying to join a party.

343 Industries says it has identified the cause of the problem and it is currently preparing a hotfix that needs a little more testing before arriving next week.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection had a lot of issues on launch, but it is now in solid shape and offers a wide range of Master Chief-powered experiences on the Xbox One.

Unfortunately, the game only has a few more months to impress before Microsoft launches Halo 5: Guardians, which will arrive on October 27 and will bring a new story and innovative multiplayer mechanics.
