The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft have offered a lot of information about the updated version of Halo 2 which will be included in the new Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but this is the first time that the two companies have offered fans a look at how the third title in the series will look in the coming Xbox One launch.

The footage comes from the official panel that was held during PAX Prime 2014 and is designed to show gamers a portion of the campaign.

The developers say that they have not remastered the entire Halo 3 experience because the game is somewhat newer and does not need a total overhaul, but they have improved key elements like resolution, lighting and framerate, with a focus on the look of the characters.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be launched on the Xbox One on November 11 and delivers updated versions of the four core titles in the series.

A full fifth title, called Guardians, will be offered in 2015 on the same platform, and until then fans of the series will be able to enjoy a Nightfall live action series based on the same universe, which will expand its core lore.
