The development team at 343 Industries is not ready to state when the May update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be launched, but the studio is willing to offer more info on changes that it will make to the title, apart from the fact that it will add both ODST and Remnant.

The new map is set to be introduced into matchmaking as soon as it arrives, both in Big Team Battle and Team Halo 2: Anniversary.

343 Industries adds, "In Big Team Battle, Team Slayer, 1 Flag CTF, 1 Bomb Assault, and 3 Plots will be available, and in Team H2A, 1 Flag CTF and 1 Bomb Assault will be waiting for you."

Team Doubles is also being introduced as a permanent playlist for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, with improved voting options and a ranked profile.

Team Objective will be the playlist that is replaced by it, and the popularity of all others will be evaluated in the coming weeks for all of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

There are other changes made to the playlists that can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

Matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection will prioritize objective modes

343 Industries says that an objective game type options will be in slot 1, a Slayer BRs in the second one and a standard Slayer in the third slot.

When a draw occurs in voting, the game will default to an objective based game type.

The development team says that ranking will also be improved in the coming content update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Halo: CE variations will no longer use the motion tracker, and there are also tweaks planned for SWAT and for Halo 2 Classic.

The update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is supposed to be introduced before the end of the month, which probably means that gamers will see it being deployed by next Friday.

The title needs to be in top shape in the coming months because it will see an increase in popularity when the new Halo 5: Guardians is launched in the fall.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the only way to enjoy the first four titles in the massive franchise on the Xbox One.
