The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft announce that they will be offering a range of free content for all those who have played Halo: The Master Chief Collection since it was launched and have experienced the problems associated with it, in order to make sure that they feel compensated for any trouble they had with the Xbox One title.

Gamers who have played the game since November 11 until December 19 will be eligible to get one month of free access to the Xbox Live Gold service, an exclusive in-game name plate, and an exclusive avatar.

The team at 343 Industries will also offer future content that the community has been asking for since Halo: The Master Chief Collection was first introduced.

Bonnie Ross, the leader of the studio, claims in an official announcement that "Additionally, you’ve told us that you want more Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer map content and Halo 3: ODST on Xbox One.  As a future bonus, we’re going to make these happen and give them to you for free.  We are just now starting work with our partners to bring both to Halo: The Master Chief Collection and will share more specific details on timing in the coming months."

The ODST campaign will be offered in the Xbox One title upgraded to 1080p and 60 FPS for free, and the Relic map in Halo 2: Anniversary is also prepared for launch, chosen because it can offer an interesting experience for the Slayer and the Objective modes.

At the moment, there's no clear timeframe for when the new content will be introduced to Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The game is also getting more content before the end of 2014

For next week, 343 Industries is planning to introduce the Spartan Ops experience to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, allowing gamers to play through all the 10 cooperative episodes.

At the same time, more playlists are being prepared for the multiplayer and will be revealed soon and the developers are also planning to continue to hunt and fix bugs.

Bonnie Ross adds, "The satisfaction and joy of our fans is absolutely critical to everyone at 343 Industries and we regret the issues and the frustration you have endured.  We are truly sorry and thank you for your continued patience and support of the Halo franchise."

The beta version for Halo 5: Guardians is at the moment running for Xbox One Preview members and on December 29 it will be open to those who bought Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
