PC gamers don't want the collection to appear just on Xbox One this fall

PC gamers have started a petition to convince Microsoft it should release the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection pack onto the PC platform, not just on the Xbox One.

Microsoft held a pretty good E3 2014 press conference last week, presenting not just major exclusives coming to its Xbox One console but also quite a few third-party titles that received live gameplay demonstrations on the platform.

By far the most impressive announcement was that Halo: The Master Chief Collection was going to appear on the Xbox One, with remastered versions of Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4.

As you can imagine, many Halo fans were thrilled with the news but quite a few of them, who fell in love with the franchise due to the PC versions of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, don't want to buy an Xbox One just for the Master Chief Collection.

As such, some of them have formed a petition through which they ask Microsoft to release Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the PC platform, not just the Xbox One edition.

This effort already has almost 5,000 signatures on the official website, but it seems unlikely that it will reach the self-imposed goal of 250,000 participants.

While Microsoft could release Halo 1 and 2 for the PC with updated visuals, seeing as how Halo 3 or 4 were never launched on it, a significant effort would be required to bring the Master Chief Collection on the new platform.
