Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to launch on November 11 on the Xbox One and the teams at both publisher Microsoft and developer 343 Industries are announcing that gamers will be able to take part in a big set of events for the three days before actual release, designed to celebrate the franchise and all the new content that's being added.

The two companies are set to deliver sneak peeks, exclusive gameplay videos and interviews with core members of the teams involved.

The new edition of HaloFest is designed to celebrate the community, and the Avalon Theatre in Los Angeles will be occupied by the franchise in order to allow gamers to take a first look at the multiplayer beta for the new Guardians title.

A match between eSports professionals will be staged in order to show fans what they can expect later in the year, when the full beta stage for Halo 5 gets underway.

Microsoft adds on the official Xbox Wire site that Nightfall will also be part of the events and that gamers can "Watch the first episode of this original live-action digital series, which introduces Agent Locke – a pivotal new character in Halo 5: Guardians. Halo: Nightfall is the result of an unprecedented collaboration with industry talents like Ridley Scott and Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, who worked hand-in-hand with 343 Industries to raise the bar for live-action storytelling in the Halo universe."

The team at 343 Industries has worked on The Master Chief Collection and players will be able to get the inside scoop from the likes of Bonnie Ross, the leader of the studio, Frank O’Connor, who leads franchise development, Dan Ayoub and Josh Holmes, the executive producers, and others.

A big Halo Tournament will take place between November 8 and 9, with 32 eSports stars set to compete in Halo 2: Anniversary, with full coverage offered on Twitch.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will also give fans access to the new Nightfall live action series, which has been created under the supervision of Ridley Scott.

The action will focus on Agent Locke and the character's backstory will be explored ahead of his appearance in Guardians, where he is likely to play a major role.

The Master Chief Collection includes the core four titles in the franchise and each of them is using the power of the Xbox One to deliver improved graphics and gameplay.
