The development team at 343 Industries announces that it is delivering yet another major update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is designed to tackle a range of game problems that have existed since launch, with a big focus on the matchmaking aspect of the experience, which has drawn the most complaints from the community.

The official announcement says that gamers should now find the process reliable and that voice chat can be used during loading screens, allowing teams to communicate as soon as possible.

Players should also be discovered soon and parties are also functioning as they should.

The major Halo: The Master Chief Collection patch also makes changes to the custom games, the Halo CE remake, the stability of the overall package and the control schemes.

The developers explain, "Note: The team is aware that 'Legacy' controls are incorrectly functioning as 'Default' in Halo 2: Anniversary and Halo 4, and are working to resolve this issue in an upcoming update. We will continue to work on additional content updates to further improve the game."

A full list of modifications can be read at the bottom of this article and all those who are interested in playing matches in the coming days should take a look at it.

In order to get the update, gamers need to just log into Halo: The Master Chief Collection and wait for it to download the patch and apply it.

As always, all those who find problems with the game following the delivery of the update can report them on the official forums and the team at 343 Industries will investigate and might deliver fixes for them next week.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an ambitious package

The problems with the video game are linked to the complexity of the experiences it delivers and 343 Industries says that it was unable to test all possible scenarios before launch.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection introduces all the core titles in the franchise remade with the Xbox One in mind.

Gamers who bought it will also get access to the beta testing period for Halo 5: Guardians, which is at the moment set to be launched on the Microsoft home console on December 29 and will run for three weeks, allowing gamers to test the new mechanics that 343 Industries is introducing.

The new game will be launched in the fall of next year and will focus on a new story powered by Master Chief.
