Halo: The Master Chief Collection is getting an all new title update from the team at 343 Industries, once again focused on improving the matchmaking experience that the shooter offers and on making sure that the game runs as stable as possible on the Xbox One.

The new update is the product of a week’s work at the studio, but the team says it is aware that it has not dealt with all the problems the title has and wants to make sure that the community knows that all other issues will be solved as soon as possible.

The official announcement states, “This particular content update focuses on matchmaking, parties, custom games, achievements, stability, and more. While this update contains a variety of improvements, we continue to work on additional content updates that will be rolled out to address further issues.”

343 Industries says that both success rates and the time it takes to find partners in the matchmaking service should now be improved, although some players might not see the results right away.

The various Achievements included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection should also be easier to get and the post-game report for the campaign has also been fixed.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection still needs plenty of work

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was one of the most ambitious releases of the fall season, aiming to bring all the core titles of the series to the Xbox One with a number of changes to the graphics and the gameplay.

343 Industries says that it has tested the changes made for a long time, but it was simply unable to replicate the number of situations that arise when the game is played by millions of fans.

Since Halo: The Master Chief Collection was first introduced, the company has delivered a number of title updates and there have also been suggestions that some content will be offered to gamers as a reward for sticking with the title.

Those who picked it up will be able to get into the beta testing period for the multiplayer side of Halo 5: Guardians, which is set to be launched on December 29 only on the Xbox One.

The full game will be introduced in the fall of next year and will represent the first Master Chief title designed specifically for the new platform.
