After confirming it a few hours ago at E3 2014, Microsoft has revealed the full details about Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is set to include Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4, not to mention access into the Halo 5: Guardians beta that kicks off this winter.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was rumored some time ago and Microsoft stayed silent about it, leading many to believe that the company was only going to remaster Halo 2 for the Xbox One, seeing as how this year marks its 10-year anniversary.

At E3 2014, the large company confirmed that it was bringing Halo: The Master Collection to the Xbox One this fall, on November 11, and that it would delight millions of console owners with remastered versions of all the core Halo experiences released throughout the years.

The tetralogy includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. All of them will have their missions unlocked and can be experienced from a single Master Menu, meaning players can choose what they want to experience, on what skill level, and add more customization elements.

Of course, the star of the collection is Halo 2, which has received the Anniversary treatment and includes remastered visuals, special Terminals scattered across levels that provide more background info about the game's story, and other such things.

"Those who replay Halo 2 will also be treated to new narrative elements via story-expanding Terminals, much like those found in Combat Evolved Anniversary. Also like its predecessor, Halo 2 will see the addition of game-customizing Skulls, as well as the cool ability to swap between its original visual presentation and the optimized version at the touch of a button," Microsoft said on the Xbox Wire.

Halo 2 will have the same classic multiplayer and 10 brand new maps made from scratch, in addition to all the classic ones. What's more, the online mode for the collection will be split into different playlists that allow for all sorts of different experiences, such as going through the final missions of all four games.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection also includes Halo: Nightfall, the all-new digital series made by Ridley Scott, which chronicles the origins of the new character from Halo 5: Guardians.

Speaking of Guardians, in December Master Chief Collection owners will be able to check out a multiplayer beta stage of the new Xbox One game. Until then, enjoy the fresh screenshots below.
