Gamers will probably not get it this week

Video game developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are announcing that they are delaying the much-awaited beta update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection in order to make sure that the included content is up to par and that all those who have signed up to test it will be able to see an improvement when it comes to their shooter experience.

The official Halo Waypoint post states, “The content update is currently undergoing additional testing prior to release to the Preview program, and will be available in the near future. However, we are no longer targeting a weekend release. Please keep an eye on the Preview Dashboard announcements for information and expected availability date.”

Previously, the developers were offering potential launch dates, but this time no clear date was announced and that probably means that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection beta update will not be delivered before the end of this week.

343 Industries says that the scale of the coming changes means that a section of the community needs to test them before all players can experience them.

All those who are part of the Xbox One Preview program can opt in for the beta, and the studio says that those who have played the most will be selected.

The beta update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is designed to revamp the matchmaking process in order to make sure that players always find a game to join in multiplayer.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection continues to have problems

When it was introduced in November, the game package had a lot of problems and was almost unplayable for a large group of fans.

Since then, 343 Industries has introduced a lot of patches but they failed to deal with all the issues that the community has been complaining about.

The developers have apologized for the poor quality of the release and have compensated those who have played the game regardless with free Xbox Live Gold membership and free content.

343 Industries says that it will not abandon Halo: The Master Chief Collection before the game is exactly what fans of the series were expecting to get in November.

Halo 5: Guardians is at the moment set to launch in the fall of this year on the Xbox One home console.
