More and more high-quality games are arriving in the Windows Store these days, but Microsoft's own titles are still leading the pack, mostly thanks to the fact that they come with awesome graphics and a very addictive gameplay.

At this point, Halo: Spartan Assault is the number one paid game on Windows 8.1, according to official statistics available to anyone running the modern platform.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which only recently arrived in the store with a Metro version, comes second, while Rayman Fiesta Run is third. Enigmatis 2, Skulls of the Shogun, and Fruit Ninja come next with thousands of updates and ratings which confirm their growing popularity.

Microsoft must obviously be pleased with such news, especially since it's really struggling to make sure that users have a look in the Windows Store after installing the new operating system. At this point, there are more than 166,000 apps available for download, many of which are included in the games category and offered free of charge.

The aforementioned titles are all offering support for desktops and tablets, so you can play them on PCs and Surface models, no matter if they're powered by the x86, x64 or ARM version of the operating system.
