Microsoft has just launched a new Red Stripe Deals campaign for Windows 8.1 users, announcing even more titles that can now be purchased with a discount for both desktops and tablets running the modern operating system.

Halo: Spartan Assault is clearly the big star of this new discount campaign, as the game is offered with a 72 percent price cut and can now be purchased for only $1.99 (€1.50) from the Windows Store.

The feature lineup remains unchanged, so you get the same 30 levels, Halo weapons, vehicles, and armor abilities, Xbox controller support, and Xbox achievements.

“Halo: Spartan Assault brings the excitement of Halo combat to touch-based devices for the very first time. Battle your way through 30 action-packed missions against the Covenant as you explore the origin of the Spartan Ops program and Halo 4's Spartan Commander, Sarah Palmer,” the game description published in the store states.

As said, Halo: Spartan Assault can be played on both desktop computers and tablets, including Microsoft’s very own Surface devices. The game has nearly 1 GB in size, so it might take a while until you download and install all files, but in the end, you’re provided with one of the most exciting gameplays currently available on Windows 8.
