The development team at 343 Industries working on Halo: Master Chief Collection has been talking a lot about the changes that Halo 2, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, will get in the new package, but the company is also aiming to introduce some interesting tweaks to the gameplay of the first title in the franchise.

In an official blog post, the studio explains that all the game types, including custom elements, included in the CE version will be offered in the new release.

The radar issue has been long a topic of discussion for the player base, and 343 Industries adds, “As is the case with all games within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, we will have a variety of experiences in Matchmaking that cater to a variety of playstyles. For example, you’ll be able to find Halo: CE games with radar enabled and disabled (in separate playlists).”

Also, gamers will be able to play on the maps which were included only in the PC version of the first Halo title, available both in custom modes and in normal matchmaking.

The studio adds, “You’ll be able to select your weapon set in Halo: CE from a brand new list of weapon sets, including ‘classic’, which will not include the Flamethrower or Fuel Rod Gun.”

Halo: Master Chief Collection brings the franchise to a new audience

Halo: Master Chief Collection will include the core games in the franchise, all of them remastered in order to appeal to a new audience and deliver improved graphics powered by the new Xbox One.

343 Industries says that it plans to allow players to switch at will between the modern and the classic versions.

The multiplayer will include a large array of modes and maps, and the studio claims that it will continuously rebuild playlists based on the preferences of the community.

Neither Reach or ODST are included and it is unclear whether fans who love the stories they offer will be able to experience them on the new device.

Halo: Master Chief Collection will be out on November 11 exclusively on the Xbox One from Microsoft and it will include the much awaited Nightfall live action series based on the franchise.

Gamers who get it will also be invited to take part in the official beta period for Halo 5: Nightfall, which is supposed to be delivered on the same device late in 2015.
