14 DAY TRIAL // Legendary film director Ridley Scott, the man behind Prometheus or Gladiator, is apparently set to film a live-action Halo movie according to a new report that appeared online.
Microsoft has been trying to get a Halo live action movie into production for quite some time but, after failed attempts with District 9 director Neil Blompkamp, the company apparently started focusing on live action series like Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, or the new TV show based on Halo from Steven Spielberg.
Now, according to a deleted Tweet from ProductionWeekly via Scified, the new live action film is directed by Ridley Scott and written by Paul Scheuring, the man behind the Prison Break TV series.
Unfortunately, no other details were offered so it's unclear if Microsoft has actually signed anything for the feature-length movie or if it's going to focus on the Steven Spielberg TV project.
