Halo 5 on the Xbox One will feature all-new multiplayer modes besides the traditional ones already seen in Halo 4 on Xbox 360, at least according to a job listing posted by 343 Industries for a new Senior Multiplayer Designer.

Microsoft has big plans for the Halo franchise, promising not just a major game on the Xbox One but also two different entertainment properties, in the form of a series made by Steven Spielberg and a digital movie made by Ridley Scott.

Now, 343 Industries has just posted another job listing, via DualShockers, for a Senior Multiplayer Designer, confirming that Halo 5 on the Xbox One will deliver some all-new multiplayer modes.

The Halo games have stood out thanks to their online features and the different game types presented by the developers at Bungie or 343 Industries.

It seems that, for Halo 5, the studio wants to bring back established experiences but also introduce fresh ones to draw in fans of the series.

"As a Senior Multiplayer Designer on the Halo team, you will be responsible for implementation and execution of features within the competitive multiplayer [PVP] experience. The 343 competitive multiplayer team designs, implements, and executes on the player-versus-player experience, including game modes, map feedback, moment-to-moment gameplay balancing, and cross-team collaboration," the job listing said.

"We are looking for an experienced designer to support and develop the Halo competitive multiplayer experience. Responsibilities include balancing and tuning existing competitive experiences, creating, developing, and delivering all new Halo MP game modes. As a member of the competitive multiplayer design team, you will help shape the future of the Halo franchise."

Potential candidates will work alongside the Lead Designer of the Halo 5 on Xbox One title to understand the vision of the game but also provide direction to the multiplayer team for designing, scripting, balancing, and tuning competitive multiplayer modes.

What's more, the game will also have dynamic and constantly updating matchmaking playlists, as future designers need to be able to design and implement game types with new content and "a very fast iteration time."

Unfortunately, neither 343 Industries nor Microsoft is talking about the Halo 5 for Xbox One project, so they aren't commenting on this new job listing.

However, you can bet that a major reveal or announcement will take place at E3 2014 this June, as Microsoft wants to impress gamers and show that it cares deeply about the Xbox One as a gaming platform.
