Much of the recent information delivered about Halo 5: Guardians has been linked to the single-player campaign and the way gamers will interact with the two core characters, Master Chief and Agent Locke, but the development team at 343 Industries is also working to make the multiplayer side of the title revolutionary.

Josh Holmes, the leader of the team working on the new title, explains on the official TeamBeyond forums that the aim is to launch the game with a balanced set of playlists that deliver some innovative elements, while also offering the classic moments that fans are looking for.

He adds, "The focused approach means that we are building a core set of game types and polishing them to be great. We also have the most substantial post-launch support plans of any Halo title, which I will be talking about in more detail at E3 and beyond."

343 Industries aims to listen to Halo 5: Guardians players once the title is out in order to determine the best way to support it in the long term.

Apparently, the company will not consider sustaining playlists that have a small pool of players, even if they are some of the most dedicated fans of the shooter.

More info on the actual content that will be part of the Halo 5: Guardians launch for multiplayer-focused players will be offered in the coming months.

Spartans will have new abilities to use

The beta period for the multiplayer experience that took place at the start of the year was important because it revealed that Spartans would be significant changes in the coming shooter.

Players will have more nimble characters to work with, and there are extra customization options that allow gamers to create a loadout that suits their play style.

The multiplayer of Halo 5: Guardians will have a bigger emphasis on dynamic situations and on teamwork.

343 Industries has shown how it can offer long-term support with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and fans hope that the coming game will have fewer problems on launch and more space to evolve after it is delivered.

Halo 5: Guardians will be offered on the Xbox One on October 27.
